National Treatment Court Month

May 2024

Our annual May celebration is inclusive of all treatment court types: adult, family, juvenile, impaired driving, tribal healing to wellness, and veterans treatment courts. The National Treatment Court Month Toolkit has all you need to make the month of May a success!

Toolkit

Each year, the treatment court community comes together to celebrate National Treatment Court Month. This is our annual opportunity to share our success, educate the public, and engage elected officials. The All Rise National Treatment Court Month Toolkit is your guide to making May a success.

The 2024 National Treatment Court Month Toolkit

It’s never too early to start planning. Inside the toolkit and here on this page, you’ll find a wealth of information and samples on ways you can bring attention to your programs while keeping your staff and participants safe and healthy.

New This Year

At RISE, we’ll highlight your graduations, community gatherings, and other events on-site in Anaheim as well as on our website. Use the submission form below to send us photos and media coverage of your National Treatment Court Month events by May 19 to be included!

Proclamation

A Treatment Court Month proclamation is a great way to garner city, county, or state support. Proclamations can also help generate media coverage.

Event Invitation

There’s no better way to build lasting support for your program than by holding a graduation ceremony and inviting elected officials—such as your members of Congress or other elected officials—to attend. Program graduates’ deeply moving stories of recovery will leave an indelible impression, and National Treatment Court Month events are an opportunity to express gratitude to elected officials for the support they provide.

Your members of Congress are rarely thanked for their public service, and they deserve gratitude for their commitment to seeing families and communities restored through our programs.

Op-Ed

Submitting an opinion piece (op-ed) to your local, state, and regional newspapers is a great way to share your success. National Treatment Court Month is a perfect hook for op-eds, and outlets will likely publish what you send them.

Media Advisory

Use our sample media advisory to invite media to cover your National Treatment Court Month event. Be sure to give them plenty of lead time and follow up often to ensure they show up. Step-by-step instructions for inviting the media are in the toolkit.

Social Media

Share your National Treatment Court Month highlights on social media. Here’s some sample text to get you started.
