Introducing “Standards of Justice”

A new podcast from All Rise

All Rise is proud to announce the launch of the “Standards of Justice” podcast, a new resource that will deepen our understanding of the Adult Treatment Court Best Practice Standards and help treatment courts put them into practice.

In honor of National Recovery Month, we are pleased to offer a special first episode featuring a conversation with treatment court alumna, certified peer recovery support specialist, and National Treatment Court Alumni Association co-founder and board member Deena Davis.

Deena bravely shares her story and offers invaluable insight into:

  • what it’s like to sit across from the treatment court team for the first time feeling scared and ashamed,
  • examples from her time in treatment court that reveal the why behind participant behavior, and
  • her transition from participant to graduate to treatment court team member and an incident during staffing that was both devastating and the impetus for meaningful change.

This is a must-listen for everyone working to advance treatment and recovery. Listen on our website or listen and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts!

About “Standards of Justice”

Through compelling firsthand accounts and thoughtful conversation, each of the next 10 episodes will take a deep dive into one standard and provide concrete examples of what it looks like when applied in treatment courts.

“Standards of Justice” is hosted by All Rise Director of Communications Chris Deutsch. On the next episode, Chris sits down with former treatment court judge and New Hampshire Superior Court Chief Justice, and current All Rise board member, Tina Nadeau, to talk all about Standard I: Target Population.
