This workshop addresses the ever-evolving multigenerational Latinx communities in the U.S., including the continued evolution of Latinx communities’ identities, why understanding intersectionality matters, and how sociopolitical contexts create narratives about Latinx communities that continue to reflect half-truths and misconceptions. Attendees will gain understanding about Latinx communities from strength-based perspectives as necessary foundations to providing culturally relevant and grounded services.
