Michael Bosse
Mike Bosse is the appointed commissioner of and certified instructor for the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training and is recognized by both federal and state courts as an expert in police administration, including the use of force by police. He has reviewed thousands of uses of force by police and has prepared more than 50 reports for state and federal courts. Mr. Bosse has served in law enforcement for over 41 years, most recently as the Georgetown police chief for 10 years. Prior to that, he spent 30 years with the Lexington Division of Police, including 12 years in its bureau of investigations.
In addition to this work, Mr. Bosse has spent close to 30 years working with Kentucky treatment courts. He was involved in the creation of the second adult drug court and the first family treatment court in the state, in Fayette County. He has served on the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council, where he chaired the professional standards committee. He is currently a member of the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Private Investigators. Mr. Bosse graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor of science degree in police administration. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy.
