Just Released: OJJDP FY24 Juvenile Drug Treatment Court Solicitation

The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) within the Office of Justice Programs at the U.S. Department of Justice announced its Juvenile Drug Treatment Court Program for FY 2024. With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to build the capacity of states, state and local courts, units of local government, and federally recognized Tribal governments to implement new and innovative approaches to enhance existing juvenile drug treatment courts (JDTCs) and improve outcomes for youth with substance use disorder or co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders, including those with histories of trauma.

Applicants are required to complete a two-step submission process; more information can be found on pages 4-5 of the Notice of Funding Opportunity.

About the Grant Program

The OJJDP Juvenile Drug Treatment Court Program is designed to support juvenile treatment courts in the following categories:

  • Category 1: Juvenile Drug Treatment Court Planning and Implementation Program
    • Award amount: $1,000,000 each
    • Award period: 48 months
  • Category 2: Juvenile Drug Treatment Court Enhancement Program
    • Award amount: $650,000 each
    • Award period: 48 months
