Building a Multi-Track Treatment Court

Applications are now open for this virtual workshop!

This two-day, virtual workshop provides the building blocks for adding tracks in your treatment court to serve all risk and need populations.

Overview

Research has proven that assessing for risk and need level is critical for placement into an appropriate program or level of treatment and supervision and that placing people in appropriate tracks to address their individuals’ risks and needs results in reduced recidivism and other positive outcomes. This interactive workshop will introduce you to the research behind the multi-track treatment court model and focus on selecting and using risk tools to appropriately screen and assess for criminogenic risks/needs so that practitioners have the information they need to coordinate placement in different programmatic interventions.

This workshop is designed to give adult treatment courts the tools necessary to build a program to meet the needs of individuals across the risk-and-need spectrum. Participants will learn how to build new tracks in existing treatment courts effective for those outside the high-risk/high-need population.

Conducted by seasoned treatment court practitioners, this workshop is the foundation for implementing the proven best practices that improve outcomes among all risk and need populations. This live, virtual workshop is presented over two days and requires a participation commitment from all of the key team members, including the judge, court coordinator, prosecutor, defense attorney, treatment, community supervision, and law enforcement.

The 2024 multi-track workshop is designed for adult treatment courts with at least two years’ operating experience and is conducted at no cost to your jurisdiction.
