You Made National Treatment Court Month a Huge Success

Thanks to your hard work, community outreach, and creativity, treatment courts received widespread recognition and celebration throughout the month of May.

Many of your efforts were highlighted at RISE24. We wish we could include every amazing photo, media hit, and proclamation we’ve seen. Be sure to scroll through our web gallery for more!

Graduations are not the end; they’re just the beginning, as treatment court alumni move forward on their path to lifelong recovery. Your commencement ceremonies inspire hope and remind our neighbors and elected officials that people can and do recover:

  • Michigan’s 41B treatment courts took on a wide variety of community assistance projects in May, including a cleanup event, planting a vegetable garden to donate to local transitional housing programs and women’s shelters, and collecting toys for the local children’s hospital.
  • Kentucky’s Lee, Owsley, and Estill Counties treatment court participants made bird feeders for elderly residents to enjoy.
  • New Mexico’s Bernalillo County Community Veterans Court team participants, alumni, team members, and veteran mentors participated in the annual VA2K Walk & Roll event to support homeless veterans (R).
