Crisis Response
We partner with service providers and justice system professionals to strengthen local crisis response coordination for justice-involved individuals.
Collaborative Approach
Many states and local communities have begun investing in efforts to improve their responses to mental health crises. Mobile crisis teams, co-responder models, law enforcement deflection programs, crisis centers, and other innovations have expanded access to care, while the launch of 988 as the easy-to-remember national crisis hotline has made it easier for people to report mental health crises and seek assistance. In many places, however, these efforts are in their infancy, and coordinated services are lacking.
All Rise’s Center for Advancing Justice and its team of subject matter experts works alongside community leaders to develop tailored, practical strategies.

Areas of Focus
Training
We provide cross-training for justice system professionals and service providers to support coordination at every stage of the justice system, from arrest to reentry. Training is tailored to available local mental health crisis resources and developed in partnership with community service providers and justice professionals.
Screening
We help communities select and use validated screening tools to identify suicide risk within the justice system and then build pathways to quickly connect those at risk to available resources services designed for them.
Justice Pathways
We help communities build pathways for quick accountability and access to care, including strategies for law enforcement diversion, jail, pretrial services, civil and criminal courts, and reentry support. We support strong communication between justice and service professionals to balance accountability with access to the most appropriate levels of care based on clinical needs.
Data and Sustainability
We work with justice system agencies to develop data collection and evaluation strategies that support program development, evaluation, and sustainability.
