Tribal Healing to Wellness Court Foundational Training

Training for planned, new, and existing tribal healing to wellness court programs.

Overview

This training provides the foundation for successful tribal healing to wellness courts. Developed in partnership with the Bureau of Justice Assistance within the Office of Justice Programs at the the U.S. Department of Justice and the Tribal Law and Policy Institute, this training is designed for wellness court programs still in the planning stages, as well as those operating without formal training and/or with significant staff turnover. The training program is offered at no cost to your jurisdiction.

Accepted programs participate in a six-month facilitated process that includes both online and in-person trainings, as well as follow-up consultation from expert training staff. At the end of foundational training, programs will have developed or improved program structures, policy and procedure manuals, and team dynamics built from the latest evidence-based and culturally competent best practices.
